FINDING A PARTY LOCATION ON LONG ISLAND

When planning for your party, the obvious consideration is your budget. Another is how much work you are willing to do to service your guests.  For example, do you want to set-up, cook, and clean-up during the party?  If so, that may not leave you time to mingle with your guests during the party.  Do you want to have your party at your home, or would you prefer a party room at a restaurant or hall? These are the type of questions to consider when planning your party.

HOUSE PARTIES

I’ve done many wonderful DJ and Karaoke parties inside customer’s homes and backyards. Some have hired servers who also clean up while others chose to do everything themselves.  If you’re having a small party with about 4-20 guests then doing everything yourself may be fine. But if your party is going to be larger, you may want to consider hiring a food services company to relieve you of some of the burden of serving and clean up during and after the party.  Instead of cooking yourself, you may want to order half or full trays of food from your local deli, supermarket, or food services company.

PARTIES IN RESTAURANTS

If you are having a large party or just don’t want the hassle of setting up, cooking, and cleaning-up for the party, then the next logical consideration is to have your party in a restaurant.  Provided below are two links to restaurants with party rooms on Long Island. PARTIES IN HALLS

Another consideration for your party is in a hall.  The advantages to having your party in a hall are several.  Depending on the size of the hall, your party may be the only venue that day and time in the hall.  This is ideal since many restaurants may still have other regular guests while your party is in progress.  If you’re on a budget and like the idea of a private hall, consider VFW Halls.  Many offer private rooms for rent and some even offer food catering services.  As far as entertainment for your party, most halls are affiliated with their “House DJs”.  Many I’m sure are good (although I’ve heard a few horror stories from some customers too) but most halls will let you hire your own DJ (LIDJMUSIC), but the DJ has to be insured.  LIDJMUSIC is fully insured and have done hundreds of events over the years in halls.  If you decide to hire a “House DJ” be sure to check their prices and the services they will offer you because you’ll find our prices and services are very competitive.  Also, find out if the catering hall charges you for the DJs set-up or pack-up time.  Remember, the DJ is the last to go, so you may be charged by the hall for their time.  READ YOUR CONTRACT WITH THE CATERING HALL CAREFULLY!
